October 13: “A Charismatic Church” (1 Corinthians 12)

What is your image of a charismatic church? “Charisma” in Greek means favor or gift. All churches are charismatic in that they have received the gifts of grace from the Holy Spirit.
According to our text, a charismatic church is first a community that confesses, “Jesus is Lord.”
Second, a charismatic church uses spiritual gifts for the common good.
Third, a charismatic church recognizes our need for one another and depends on one another.
Fourth, in a charismatic church, the stronger members give greater honor to the weaker members and care for them.
What gifts are you using to build up the church?
