In the preceding verse, Paul said that we will share not only in Christ’s glory, but also in his suffering. Back in 5:3, Paul even said that we boast in our suffering. How can we do so? Paul mentions three things that enable us to glory in our sufferings: the hope of redemption, the intercession of the Spirit, and faith in God’s zeal for glory. And why does God want us to share in His glory? It is because God is for us and loves us immensely as His children. God’s love poured into our hearts through the Spirit assures us of our future glory in Christ.
